Here is the first thing that pops on from my search.
My daily go-to glue for all of my journals and bookmaking is Aleens Tacky Glue.

It dries stiff and needs to be used very sparingly in my opinion. A little goes a long way. It can be mixed with water so you don’t see the glue through the paper or card stock after it dries.
